It does feel a little run down in places but there's some construction going on. Overall we thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was but it was a good way to pass an afternoon, just very crowded! Take your kids over! We got this attraction as part of a city pass which is a great way to get it at a better cost.

if you wanted a "cursory" visit of both, then i guess you could see them in one day. but never in a million years could you REALLY see either in one or two or three or even two MONTHS!!!!! Helpful? You can see enough of the Field in half a day, but the Shedd Aquarium really needs a full day.
